The boy without a flag

I am not a reading fan, but I had the opportunity to read the short story called, The boy without a flag. I thought it was very interesting how could a boy of 11 years old stand up with braveness to Miss Marti (the school principal), Mr. Rios & Ms. Colon (his teachers) because he did not wanted to recite The Pledge of Allegiance of the U.S. I did not like the way his father treated him and forced him to grow up very quickly and not even trying to help him with his dream of writing. Abraham is a very inteligent boy, because he wrote a lot of things at his age, and I admire him for that.

The father of Abraham did not support him enterely on his dream but not because he wanted to be a bad father, I think it is the other way around he didn't want Abraham to have a life like his. but still he should not had crushed his dreams.

I do agree with you. I think that if we ware free people we should be able to choose who we would like to bow down to. I mean there are rules but there are many things that even adults are wrong in. You should do what you believe in (in a respectful way).
